Off Grid Electricity for the Electric BYD Shark

Having previously installed a Custom 230Ah RVLSA Battery with a Victron 2000VA Inverter for a coffee machine and the necessary Victron Chargers into his Nissan Y62, Sam’s moved on to an all electric BYD Shark, so came back to us for another 12V solution to powering his accessories.

In want of a simple Battery Pack to run his fridge, Sam also wanted portability for easy transfer to other vehicles.

In this instance, the BYD has a 240V power capable to run Sam's coffee machine, and whilst there are other ways to use the vehicles EV Traction battery, this option was the most reliable and versatile, being portable and not relying on or drawing from the vehicle main battery.

Our solution was to supply and install our new model of 'The Lithium Box' (TLB) 100-50VP, plus a Cable Management Chain Track the keep the fridge wiring tidy and tangle free.

The TLB100-50VP is a complete RV Lithium Systems (RVSLA) 100Ah Custom Drop In Lithium Battery System featuring:

✅️ One Blue 50A Anderson plug for vehicle input and a two pin Deutsch Ignition Input. (A Deutsch refers to a heavy-duty, environmentally sealed electrical connector which is the gold standard for 12V wiring in environments exposed to moisture, dirt, high vibration, and extreme temperatures).

✅️ A Victron Smart Bluetooth 15A Solar Controller 

✅️ A Yellow 50A Anderson plug (250W max) for Solar Input 

✅️ A Victron IP65 15A Charger Plug to suit an optional Victron IP65 240V Charger 

✅️ Two Accessory Cig Sockets 

✅️ A Fridge Socket to suit brands such as Engel, Dometic or ARB etc.

✅️ A Black 50A Anderson Plug (10A max) Outlet to suit another fridge or lighting etc.

✅️ A Grey 50A Anderson plug (40A max) Outlet for additional accessories.

The Lithium Box 100-50VP measures a mini 39cmL x 15cmW x 28cmH and weighs an insignificant 15kg, plus it's a home grown product hand made in Western Australia and available nation-wide!
