Keep the Coffee Coming

Keeping Giogie and his family sustained on their camping trips is The Lithium Box 100/40 Barista, powering the essentials such as a 60L Engel and a Pod Coffee Machine with a Custom Installations Half Drawer System.

With all seats of Giogie's 2020 Prado taken up with his young family and little room to spare, we utilised a space over the wheel arch next to the fridge by making a custom bracket to mount The Lithium Box Barista.

  • 100Ah RV Lithium Systems Lithium (LiFePO4) Battery with Cell Balancing and Cell Protection

  • Victron BMV 712 Bluetooth Battery Meter Display. Read the battery meter from the convenience of your smart phone Displays the battery’s voltage, amps in or out, amp hours consumed, time to go until flat, and actual State of Charge (SOC) as a percentage.

  • REDARC BCDC 1240D Vehicle 40A DC to DC Charger with Blue 50A Anderson Plug Input, protected by cell protection and 40A MPPT Solar Charger with Red 50A Anderson Plug Input protected by cell protection

  • Victron Phoenix 1200VA Inverter. This will run a Coffee Pod Machine with Milk Frother.

  • Master Battery Switch

  • Internal Fusing and Output Short Circuit Protection

  • 1 x 240V Outlet Socket on front face

  • 275A Twin Load BCU 175A BCU for Inverter and 100A BCU for all 12v Output Sockets. Automatic Low Battery SOC or Voltage Disconnect of Inverter and accessory power sockets and automatic reconnect once the battery has received adequate charge.

  • 2 x 12V Cig Accessory Sockets

  • A Smart Alternator Ignition Wire Input or Loop Connection.

Included in this installation was:

  • An external Red Anderson Plug Input for a Solar Panel

  • An Anderson Plug with 12W Fuse box attached to the drawers and wired in to the existing switch panel

  • Wiring of the Switch Panel to the Water Pump
